Hi all, I have a pic of my 3 grandsons that I'm currently using as my desktop background.

The pic is a little grainy, when blown up to cover the full screen.

Are there any programs that will blow up this pic without losing the sharpness?

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

Depends on the quality of the original. You might give IrfanView a shot: for a freebie graphics editor, it's among the best.

    BTW: Happy Birthday! :drink

What are the pixel dimensions of the original photo? What is your monitor resolution?

Apparently, you're telling Windows to "stretch" the photo to cover the whole screen. You might try just putting the photo on the center of the screen without stretching to fill the screen. In the case, you might want to use a solid color background for the whole screen; then, that color is what you'd see around the edges of the photo.
