This is my first post since joining yesterday. And I'm not even sure it belongs on this board, since it's not exactly a technical matter. Anyway ... I'd like to burn photos from my hard drive onto a CD which I then could view on my TV by using my Samsung DVD/CD player. I have Easy CD Creator basic burner software that doesn't have such capabilities. Are there software products out there for doing this when your burner software can't do it? I don't have a digital camera; I just scan photographs onto my hard drive. Is this a proper subject for this message board? Thanks for any help.

This is a perfect place to post and Welcome to MajorGeeks!!

(Kodo!! this is your job man!!)

Just dropping a line to welcome as I don't have an answer, but I am awaiting one cuz it would be very cool!

Probably have to create some sort of slide show and then you might need a DVD-R...

But someone here should have something good!!

Just don't bring up overclocking unless you are in the OC forum!!:D

I couldn't handle another Geek War!

    RE: Photo to CD

Well, fooey: I didn't make myself clear. I know how to burn photos to a CD. But don't I have to have some kind of special program to make the CD so it will work in my home DVD/CD player and show up on my tv screen?

hi this is my first post here
I use a program called tvcd that will alllow you to put photos and backround music on a cd and play it in dvd players that support vcd file it can be downloaded here http://www.tvcd.biz/default.htm there are a few other programs you can find thru search that will do the same thing but I am only familiar with this one and it is very easy to use

Thanks to those who replied, including hw209 who mentioned tvCD. I found that it downloads for $29.95 and has a free demo. Doing searches, I found these others:
    -Ulead DVD PictureShow2--$49.95, free demo
-Xatshow for $29.95 or $32.95 including CD; free demo
    -DVDPixPlay--$19.70; free demo

Darn it, that would be nice if would. I wonder if you could use Powerpoints first, then one of the programs mentioned above to get them to work on a T.V.

tvCD lists one of its features as "Import PowerPoint presentations." I just downloaded the demo for DVDPixPlay, since it's the cheapest, but I don't have the time right now to play with it.
