Photoshop 6.0 just drops dead...

Photoshop 6.0 stops loading when it gets to the point where it says "Initializing menus..."

It just drops dead right then and there.

Haven't changed anything on the computer. The only thing I've done is delete temp.files and bad registry values with CrapCleaner and EasyCleaner...none of the files should've had anything to do with Photoshop.

Try uninstalling it in Add/Remove and it should give you the option of a repair.

Can't do that. I have the cd but no serial number. The serial number was on the paper covers the cd came in, and now its lost. The people at work here are very forgetful (someone propably threw the covers away).

...and I almost forgot: It doesn't even show up in the Add/Remove list which is weird.

It shouldn't ask for the serial number.

You aren't uninstalling it and reinstalling it, just doing a repair if it has that option.

As far as the serial number, either contact Adobe and they should issue you with another or see if something like Belarc Advisor will tell you.

No I didn't, story of my life.

Anyway, do you have an uinstall in the Start Menu? If you click on that it may give the option of repair.

Also, as I said, Belarc Advisor and Everest will tell you the Product Key if it's still available from the Registry.

They are both available for download from here I think.

Nevermind...I uninstalled 6.0 since we got 7.0, and its running great now!

I looked at the other computers here, and they all had the same thing; Photoshop 6.0 couldn't be uninstalled through the Add/Remove list since they didn't show up there.
