I am getting so frustrated with school this semester. I am taking Photoshop class. Bought CS4, installed it and started using it. Worked fine until I got to where I need to use the Quick Selection tool. It closes out, telling me the problem is with MSVCR80.dll. So, I did some googling on this and I find lots of things it tells you to do, but have not found any that people say actually work. I am not comfortable working with registry, so if someone could help me, I would need step-by-step details of what I should do.
My only other option at this point is to call Adobe, and I am watching my granddaughter (14 months old), so I don't think a long phone call will work right now.
    Running Vista 32-bit.

Do you have MSVCR80.dll in your system32 folder? I'm not clear whether it is missing or you see another type error.

Have you seen this thread? If you get a big error, the 2nd post says to move msvcr80.dll to the photoshop folder. You would actually copy it there rather than move it. You want the original in the system32 folder.
