photpshop question

    when i open ps6 it acts like it's serching floppy drive, it started after editing pic's from a floppy, opening from the floppy, now it does it all the time, any ideas.......

    its probably got the default folder set as A:/ instead of wherever it is you usually save things. Try opening somthing from another part of your hard drive and see what happens

    I agree with Goldy!!

    have you opened any pictures from your C: drive since you opened them on your floppy.....?

    Open a couple from your C: drive... then the next time it opens it will look there instead of A:


    maybe!

    yes, i opened from C: and tried everything even to reinstall, when i opened from A:, it must have changed a preset or default that i just couldn't find , i guess it was it's way of telling me, time to upgrade, 7 is nice, just have to readjust, Thanks for the time though.......

    one thing to maybe try if your happy editing the registry ( I would always advise backing up regisrty before editing ) is to find this KEY if it's in PS6 ( I using PS7.01 )

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Photoshop\7.0\VisitedDirs

    as there is a key named "STARTUPIMAGEDIRECTORY" if this links to the A drive delete it!
