PHP Mysql Unknown column 'b.override_theme' in 'field list'

I get this error, and don't know where to go to fix it.

Unknown column 'b.override_theme' in 'field list' I get this error when I click on a topic or subject. Everything else seems fine.

I'm running a smf forum, and just changed database. I had other problems too, all the data is safe, but have been having trouble getting it to work completely http://zywie.com/smf/index.php

Can anybody take a look and advise?

Sounds like your db didn't transfer well. I would find it hard to believe that there is a table Named "b" in your database so it's probably an Alias in the SQL. Aside from that, where ever that table is, there is apparently a column missing. Can you compare the old DB to the new?

 

Hey Kodo, if a person to were go looking for this alias table"b" where and how would that be done? Is the data base sending the error, or the php scripting in the forum software? I'm not sure how to proceed, delete colum b or delete script calling for column b? Or a third choice?


I have gone looking for the script that might be calling for override_theme, but can't find it yet.

I searched a bit in the database, don't really know what I was looking for there.

No that's not the whole thing. So I have been messing with this for quite sometime and getting pretty ticked. Now I lost my sessions table row in the database. It is gone.

deleted & reinstalled the smf again and created another table prefix. So now I have the session table row there but with a beersessions instead of the smf_sessions i need. (beer table prefix instead of smf_ table prefix)

Yeh, maybe more beer would fix it

I figure now all I would have to do is change the table prefix and I would be back where I started awhile back, but not fixed, and who knows if the session ID will work, just by changing the table prefix, but it might.

So within phpadmin, how the heck do you change the table prefix of one row or entry ?

If I get this fixed, I may be able to be up and running as I put a similar version of smf before I messed it up. It worked up until I tried the "upgraded version" lol, at least I think it did.

I have been trying to get help over at the smf forum and it is not forthcoming. Dare I even ask a database question over there?

As long as I have you here, using smart ftp how can I delete a folder and make the folder in it move up in the hierarchy? (not delete the contents)

My new install is zywie.com/smf/smf/index.php, I would like to remove the extra smf, doh, its a fairly lengthy upload to do over. This forum is working, so maybe I could change all the prefixes in mysql, instead of using the admin in smf hmm, just a thought.
