Picasa Help

I need a better understand of how to manage and manipulate photos/files and folders on Picasa. Either I am a little dense (A good possibility) but I can't find what I need from their Google Help. Tried help online and they want $36 bucks an answer. I see that there are a number of downloads listed, but I have no which ones are safe and which ones will reach out and choke me and my computer. Any here tried a help manual download or know of a safe one.
