Doesn't necessarily mean the end for the Desktop Picasa program, though any interaction with the online/Web Album/Google Account side of it will cease at some point (as will the online version itself, soon).

I remember installing Picasa 2 in Windows XP in 2005.
It had the best looking UI of all my programs.

Desktop app is a very good image management app and editor, Google photos not really used but just opened it up online and noticed my pics have been migrated already from Picasa online, I tend to really use OneDrive for photos.

My desktop Picasa apparently has developed a problem. Can anyone provide some support, since Google has stopped? Mine used to index new photos and to index anything I did to extant photos, such as move them. Now it wo't index _ which makes it useless; without taking in new photos and keeping up with revamping of extant ones, Picasa soon became useless to me. I soooo want it back! I hae bought the full Copernic search because of this problem, but Copernic isn't really a good substitute. Maybe one of you knows how to reactivate Picasa's indexing?
