OK not sure if this is the right place for this. I put some pics on from my camera and cleared the chip after seeing that they transferred. Then I started to move some pics around and deleted what I thought were copies and instead deleted originals. Then since I had been gone for a week ran CCleaner. Recycling bin was emptied. Thats when I went to look at pics that are gone. Bummer because they were from a trip the wife and I just got back from. Ran a system restore to last night hoping to at least get them back into the recycling bin but no luck.

Is there any way to get them back or are they gone for good?

Please help wife doesn't know yet.

    Hi

Try Recuva as its pretty good, but if the card has been used after the accidental deletion then the likelyhood is reduced to recovery.

If you connect your card to a PC via a card reader (or in camera via USB if Windows sees the card as a drive) and use the tool Halo suggested, there's a very good chance you'll recover the photo's.

There are many other free file recovery tools here, some of which use slightly different techniques to access 'lost' data, if the first one doesn't succeeed, try another.
