Picture Viewing Problem

Hello: I wonder if anyone has this problem and would know why its happening. I have been trying to view pictures on my computer I choose a picture from the thumbnails that I want to open but when I click the picture I want to view another picture comes ups in its place. Has anyone had this problem and know how to correct it. I know I don't have a virus I checked that, did a scan for errors and spyware doctor. Any help would be appreciated.
