I am running Window XP home edition. I was running Guard IE but I have just deleted it as I thought it was over kill as I am also running Norton antivirus and Norton firewall.
My problem is now, when I open Explorer, I do not see any pictures. They are blanked out. If I right click them it gives me an option to show the picture. What a pain that is.
I disabled both of the norton programs to see if the problem was in my settings there. It did not change anything. So my question is. Is there a setting in windows that I am not noticing, that has changed?
I would really be appreciative for some help.

I had to reboot my computer to make a note of something that may or may not be connected to my original problem.
A box is displayed, that has a heading that says, Diagnostic Traces
In the box it says, SSDIAG activated
    new _diagwindow (DRVNQ117)
    delete _diagwindow (DRVNQ117)
The top two sentences are repeated 4 times

    Try this.

Open Internet Explorer. click on tools, internet options. Click on the advanced tab. go down to multi media and be sure show pictures is checked.

uninstalation of that program most likely simply reverted your IE settings to original.... Try the Tools, Internet Options and look around in there
