Pier guardian wont install on Windows 7 64 bit. Windows keeps telling me that the driver signature cant be verified. And I was told if i disabled the driver signing feature of Windows 7, it would allow me to install Pier Guardian.
I have disabled the driver signing and still get the same error when Installing Pier Guardian. Anyone know another work around to get it to install & run ?

    Thx in advance

It works fine for me on 32-bit, try installing it as Administrator - right-click the installer and choose Run as Admin.

Thanks for the reply, I have run it as Administrator. And the same thing happens, I get a message that says the digital driver can not be assigned. That`s why I disabled the digital driver signing feature in the 1st place. And even with it disabled I get the same error message. And Pier Guardian works on 64 bit because I had it on XP pro 64 bit. So I am not sure now how to go about getting it to work. I cant believe its because I am running Windows 7 build 7100. I am pretty sure I would have the same problem with driver signing if i had the full version of Windows 7 .?

Hopefully someone will have an answer....

    Hi

As the Vista/Win7 version is still beta, they have not ironed out the kinks yet, could try the info here or try the alternate route in installing peerblock as that does have driver signing work ok.

I dont use these apps but did get peerblock working in Win7 x64

Well, you do have the full version of W7 if it's 7100 or at least the beta which will end relatively soon. I also can't install PG on my W7 Ult. as it says there were some changes to my hardware or software which could be the case in my running VMWare but I doubt it. I have an XP system also so this ain't bugging me too much. Have you checked their forums yet?

    BTW, it's called 'PeerGuardian'.;)

I'm still running build 7100 too; try disabling some of your Services using Blackviper's regfiles - use Safe then Default when or if you need to go back to stock.

If the Safe setting doesn't help, checkout his Supertweaks.

EDIT: WHOOPS, my bad, I'm using PeerBlock now ... :-o
