Pin A Bat File To Win 11 Taskbar

There is a method found here, Attach Batch File To Win 11 Taskbar that allowed me to create a file run by the Command Prompt and then pin it to Windows 11 Taskbar. I then learned about a program, that I downloaded from this site, called Bat2Exe. I was told that it would execute much faster as an exe file than as a bat file. I converted the bat file to an exe file and tried to run it. Malwarebytes immediately blocked and then quarantined it. The exact same code as is in the file that became an exe file runs perfectly as a bat file and as the file run within the Command Prompt that was created by the method in the link above. Any idea why it was blocked and quarantined by Malwarebytes when I tried running it as an exe file?

    Thanks

Malwarebytes just did the same thing with the exe file created by Advbattoexeconverter.exe. I wish I could be certain these blocks were Fals Positives by Malwarebytes. I got a screen shot of Malwarebytes warning when running the exe file created by Advbattoexeconverter.exe. Blocked.jpg

Thank you. However, that is the first program I tried. Maybe I referred to it in the OP by the wrong name, but it is the same program I originally tried. Then I tried Advbattoexeconverter.exe. I am thinking Malwarebytes is giving me a False Positive but I'm not at all sure. Hopefully their support will know the answer.

If the actual program that creates the exe from the bat is not triggering an alert, I'd say it is a false positive. Some antivirus software gets lazy are flags programs based on a signature, not real threat. So, if a few script kiddies made an exe from a bat using that software, the signature gets flagged. I'd white list it and go on.

Another point I doubt making an exe makes a bat file faster because it is wrapped in the 'compiled' exe and has to likely unpack itself when ran. Could be wrong..

Thank you for that information. The only reason I was even creating the exe file was because it was mentioned to me, in another forum, that the exe file would be faster. Since that's not the case, I'm happy with how it works now.
