ping problem in ut2004

ok for some reason i get high ping in all servers. my ping in my favorites used to be right at 80 or below.. now it starts low but slowly it makes its way up into 120 or 140's even higher. i go and search for low ping servers. i go in to one where i get 40 i get that ping for like 5 minutes but tehn it starts goin up and up and up until it hits 120 or higher. i did a clean reinstall of ut2004, but didnt work. this never happend before. is there something i can tweak so i can get my low ping back?
