First and foremost thank guys. I have been a lurker on this site for many years.

My problem being, I bought a cisnet computer at Staples almost 2 years ago. A real dud
60 days in it crashed. They replaced the motherboard and the hard drive.
It still never worked like it should
In July I took it in they replaced the fan and another part. I was told excessive dust so I was charged $75.00 , $25.00 for cleaning and the rest was a part and taxes.

3 Weeks later it starts again programs crashing nothing burning I lost allot of things I thought I had burned but did not burn :(

It took almost a month to get it back again.
Front facial I think was replaced
    power supply
    processor
cd/dvd burner and a bunch of other parts. It is still under manufacturers warranty

now 2 weeks later The screen went pink and brown lines. I called and my husband took it in. It was not my monitor I checked that on our spare comp.

It booted up ok for the techs at Staples just my luck lol . I was told that it was an update that it sometimes happens. I am scratching my head in frustration. My old comp I had 10 years all I replaced was a power supply and I gave that one away (kicking myself) and never had an issue.

I listed everything because I am hoping you guys can look at the list and even give me a remote idea what is going wrong with my system. It is under manufacturers warranty for another 2 weeks then I have an extended staples warranty that I put on the comp for 2 years. best 100.00 I ever spent was to load it with warranties
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    ~Shay~

I took a picture of what came up on my screen when I rebooted the comp when it came home. I added the pics below

    Hi

Moved your thread to Hardware forum as seems best place for this question.

With the majority of parts you have changed and the pink and brown lines your seeing on your LCD, would have lead me to the LCD, however you tested this on another PC and was ok, so next thoughts turn to

Graphics card being faulty? is it an onboard or dedicated graphics card and what model?

Is your LCD near speakers or any items that may have magnets in them, move all of this PC to another part of your house to test, maybe where your other PC is.

Where you running chkdsk for a reason in those screenshots?

First off from the bottom of my heart Thank you so much :)

Can you tell me how to tell if its an onboard graphic card or dedicated graphics card and how to tell the model?

The speaker is on the other side of my desk and has never been an issue I can try and move it farther away.

I was not running chkdsk :) I learned how to do that here and I used to have to F 10 put it back to manufacturers settings and chkdsk quite often before they fixed it. The screen when I sent it to Staples with my husband was apink and brown stripes. It booted fine for them and when I brought it home it started to delete orphan files and I thought time to get the camera out so I can have pictures and proof of what is going on with it. I am so glad I did.

The system is a cisnet desktop model #ca-8003b if that helps any.

The computer has had issues since the day it came home and has been back and forth to the shop. The last time I was given a $50.00 gift card to basically shut me up.

Which as long as it is under warranty I will not give up until it is fixed properly or they replace it. I pray they replace it. In all the years of owning computers this has caused me the biggest stress headaches. Thank God for you guys, I have learned so much lurking on this forum

    Thank you !

    Hi Shay

You can use Everest which is free to use, to allow you to gather some info on whats inside your PC, do be careful in what you post and dont post a full log as much of the info can be personal, so only post the below stuff

Once installed run Everest and click Report > Next > System Summary Only > Next > Plain Text > Finish, then highlight all the info under Motherboard, Display and Multimedia and right click copy then open Notepad and paste the text and save that file with say a title of Everest Log then attach that file as per these instructions to your next post.

Sample of my info attached below as per above instructions for you to see what I mean on only what info is relevent.

Personally I would think that they should exchange this PC for a new one as too many parts from new have been changed and at times a lemon cannot be fixed properly.

:) As I was loading the Everest I saw something that Everest sent to its web site about some part that was not compatiable with something but I did not catch it before it sent it.

I hope I did this right. You guys are true cyber space angels

    Thank you!

The comp crashed again this morning and I am adding pictures of what happened. If its the screen I have no problem replacing it but if its the computer I am going to have to demand a replacement. This has been going on since the day I bought computer.
Thank you for all your help it truly is greatly appreciated!

I just called Staples and took this issue to their Tech, He told me to bring it back in and he was going to reccomend that they replace the computer. It has to be an underlying issue they can not find causing all the problems I have had over the past 2 years. Pray for me :0) I will keep yo updated!

    Thank you!

Huge Thank You, My issues have been solved :0) Staples called yesterday paper work was ready. Bring your old system in they were giving me my money back for system and warranty woooo hoooo :)
I bought myself a HP and added another 2 year staples warranty. They were so fantastic. I ended up with a better system, a gift card / staples credit for money left over.
I would highly reccomend people remember to buy the additional warranty.
I am so excited and so happy. Now I may end up with vista questions. lol I always had XP. So far so good and I like the Vista
    Have a fantastic day all
    Huge Thank you's!
