pioneer dvd/rw?

    Hi all my pioneer dvd/rw is really noisy which is not great as the rest of my system is has been sound proofed. is there a fault with the dvd writer or can someone suggest a quiet dvd/rw? thanks costac19:cool:wave

    What do you mean by noisy? Do you mean when the drive is spinning, it is too loud? If so, there is probably nothing you can do about it. It clearly was not designed for the home theater - where people prefer to hear the quiet passages without the drone of drive and fan motors nearly drowning everything out. Yes! As an avid amateur (read: not rich) audiophile, I understand the problem well!

    Fortunately, some makers are finally starting to see (or hear) the problem and are doing something about it. ASUS is leader here with their "Quietrack" line. See here.
