I have a logo that I need to submit by Tuesday. Their requirements are 3X3 inches and 300dpi. I'm fine with the 3 inches...that I already did. However, how do I change the dpi? Is that pixels? When I decrease my logo to 300 pixels, it makes the logo 2 inches. So does anyone know how to do both - 3 inches AND 300dpi? Thanks...I'm a bit clueless. I'm on Windows XP and have a plethora of graphic programs...unfortunately, they all have one feature that I value - I wish they 1 program could have them all! I hope you have Photoshop as that what I just tested a resized pic with ( an 11x8" picture not going to look brilliant as the sizes are not equal but will do for testing )

once image is open click Image and change your setting to the ones below and that should then have the image 3x3" and 300ppi ( ppi is just the newer form of whats commonly called dpi ) just make sure that re-sampleing is ticked, then click ok and save... I save as PSD or Tiff normally.

hope this works for you as its the method I was shown, but maybe if this doesnt work someone else with have another idea.

Halo, thanks so much for the screenshot...it makes me realize that I don't have this option. I wish I had Photoshop, but I can't bring myself to pay for it :) I don't have a "pixels/inch" option together like that. I have a drop down menu that you can choose either pixels or inches, but when I do them separately, they change the previous size. Any other suggestions?

My Pleasure and good luck with it :)

XNView is a program I have use from the early days of its development as I found it really easy to use and it converted some weird ass formats I was given while working in photo industry.
