Place to suggest 64-bit iTunes?

    Hey,

I currently run Vista x64, and with that, iTunes forces us to use the 64-bit version of iTunes. Currently, Majorgeeks only mirrors the 32-bit version, so I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction to suggest the 64-bit version of iTunes, so that Majorgeeks may consider mirroring it?

    Cheers :)

Not answering your question, but I googled around and found this!!

iTunes is not supported on any of the 64-bit versions of Windows, so you will not be able to get any official assistance from Apple (and they don't provide any technical support in the Discussions anyway; these forums are, with rare exceptions, user-to-user only). You can search the forum for "64-bit" and see what people are suggesting in other threads. One suggestion I've seen is that you need the 64 bit Gear drivers.

    Thanks for replying sikvik.
But actually, 64-bit is supported now. That thread was back in 2007. Apple offers the 64-bit version for download from their official website.

So, could somebody from Majorgeeks could answer my original post please?

    Cheers:)

    Hi

Get this one HERE its the previous 7.5 version of 64bit iTunes and then once installed run the updater and it will update to 8.02

Not found the location of the 64bit one as the apple itunes download page doesnt like my 64bit OS, but if you try the iTunes home page then see if it picks up your 64bit XP, but the above file works, as thats the one I used and just updated earlier
