Awesome... like tribes, only... non-sucktastic! Theo nly drawback is the requirements and the high-ish price 12.95 a month (american).

Well, what is it... I bought it. Its a bad Tribes 2. Go figure. In a nutshell, its Tribes 2, overcomplicated, over secured in how you can use vehicles, teams and so on and runs pretty crappy too. Tribes jetpacks make all the difference.

The graphics are not impressive, its hard to learn and play. For example, I tried to board a massive ship to join a fight, but did not have permission to join from the driver, so couldnt. Doubt it was full either. So, where Tribes was a pain that everyone could get on, this goes overboard by not letting people get in on the actiuon. I felt it was very uncomfortable for newbies and highly doubt theres much real organized teamwork going on and frankly dont care. I am cancelling my subscribtion and will play Tribes 2 again.... For free.

Thanks for the info... I'll keep looking around. also the thought of a subscription really bothers me..
I just don't game enough to make it worthwhile....

Well, I had heard from others it was like Tribes so wait for Tribes Vengenance and the subscribtion sucked, but I had to try it out. Im not a fan of massive online games, but if one came along I liked, I would pay to play, this wasnt it

Personally, I refuse to pay a subscription for any game. I fail to see how any game could ever be worth $40 + $150 per year. If I'm paying that much, the game better be buying my girlfriend flowers, doing my taxes, washing my car, and all he other things I should be doing instead of playing their stupid game.

I played the beta, but I'm not going to pay-per-play.
I did enjoy the game, but don't have $20AU to throw at it each month

hard to figure out.
if they gave a free download and a free month i would try it for as month.
i was a beta tester.got my discs one day before it was available on filep-lanet for subscribers only.
i got a tribes mail from dave georgson(tribe2 and planetside lead developer) and he pointed me in the direction of the game.happy to get beta ,but when everyone and their dog was getting beta(from fileplanet),i realised it was just a ploy to get 50,000 people playing the game right before release(as no one wants to eat in an empty restaurant).
and dave did say what happened with tribes2.sierra needed to make the quarter $$$and they said it had to ship now or never ship.dynamix was forced to ship it beta.damn sierra!

WarCraft 2 is still my favorite pc game, I won't play on battlenet though, to many jerks.

course my main pc HATES most games so I don't bother buying them anymore
