Plasma TV or Laptop?

    Well, our local BestBuy and Circuit City are having excellent deals on laptops and plasma TV's. Luckily this month I have so much overtime that I can afford me a gift.:-D

    I have the option of buying up to a 52" Plasma TV or a new HP dv series laptop. They are about the same price and I can't decide.

    This is the one I have picked out, comments? :)

    I guess it depends on what you need most. ;)

    I do know the Sony Bravia is awesome since I have one. It's an LCD though, not a plasma.

    I am going shopping around this weekend to look at a few of them just in case I decide to go with this.

    If it were you, would you buy Plasma or LCD?

    If you do some research you will find that Plasma is not such a lot better than LCD in picture quality only if you are on HD, you are paying a premium for the plasma.

    As regards which to buy it depends on what you do most TV or Surfing the net

    When I bought my tv, LCD technology had advanced beyond plasma. At this point, it may have evened out. I would go to a store that carries both and look at the picture from all angles and distances. I'm pretty sure they all come in 1080p at this point.

    My personal preference is LCD.
