playing games and comp suhts off? help please.

    ok ... so my computer seems to recently ramdomly shut off while playing any video game. it had done this before playing video games ... and then stopped for a few weeks. i recently installed portal and played it through completly without a problem, but installed Serious Sam 2 and it shut off while playing, and Serious Sam - The First Encounter as well. my case is clean, no dust or debris. i also have 5 case fans working properly, with and extra 2 USB port card thing plugged into my motherboard that came with the motherboard.
    i also have a completly clear acrylic case.

    and dont get me wrong ... ive read through many forums and still havent figured this out.

    wow ... so far so good with the video card driver ... im suprised ... that seems to have solved it for now ... ill find out more later. thanks.

    If the problems comes back, try these things:

    1. Run a memtest, at least five or six passes
    2. Check the temperatures right after crash

    Your 12v reading is a bit low on your PSU. But software volt readings can be unreliable. Do you have access to a multimeter? I am glad the driver change has helped you, but if your Power Supply Unit is not working properly, or is underpowered, you may be in for a word of problems down the road.
