I saw a post on here to start a new user account and stop services in it so games run better or faster maybe. Did I misread or is this possibble, and if so how: will it stop normal operations when not playing games

Personally, I shutdown, my software firewall, my software AV program, and all apps running in my systray (near the clock). Then I run my game. This is just what I do.

What link are ye referring to?

No problem. I also, typically, kill my explorer.exe process to eeeek out a frame or two (fp/s) for gaming also.

I think the link you are referring to is for Black Viper. His tips describe how to disable services using "services.msc".
