PlayStation 2 Slim console Supported DVD formats

    I did not know if this is hardware, software, or games so i picked what i thought was right so if its not the right place please move to the right sub forum..

    i just got a new dvd-burner and i was making a dvd of some home movies and such and after i burned them i tried playing them in my PS2 slim and it says "unable to read disk" whats the supported dvd formats for a PS2 slim? am i using the right disks?

    dvd-burner --- LITE-ON 16X DVD±R DVD Burner W/LightScribe and 5X DVD-RAM

    disks are Maxell DVD+RW 4.7GB

    also useing Nero Express 6 OEM

    Most likely a hardware topic but nevermind!

    I think they have trouble reading most types of DVD R media unfortunately, that's the experience I've had.

    hey ,
    i burned x vid files using sonic onto standard dvd-r and they worked on a slimline ps2 . although the files were converted before they were burned in relation to disk compatibility dvd-r should work
