yes I concur with your statement, but when I first came to the knowledge of Folding@Home via live cd's of linux and wondered what that icon was [FAH],I noticed on the home page of Majorgeeks.com,right hand side, there in tiny letters was a hyperlink to Folding@Home,it explained it all to me and what a better way to pay back to this site for all there wonderful software.
From then on Dec.2004 I have never stopped this wonderful hobby and it was no longer a mystery to me and two of these computing machines would surely be an added welcome to my folding farm, but must wait for prices to fall, perhasp one day I may locate a PS3 for less than $200.
    one can hope?

    :major P.S. nice linkage

Hehe, when I saw that they also use an X1900XT for optimized code execution, I checked the prices on it. :eek Costs nearly the same as a PS3.

Given the quantity of various gaming consoles with internet access it would be interesting to see some other folding cores created, but then I suppose computing power does enter into it.
