Playstation And Remote Play

I will try to explain as clear as I can, please forgive me.

For my PS5, I use remote play often as I like to stream my games and be able to see my channel at the same time (and my co-op's channel, if present).
However, the last days, Remote Play is acting up badly. Often times the video quality for MYSELF goes down horribly, up to a point that I can barely see anything properly, aside of coloured squares and things moving. Pretty much like 320p or something, really bad :/
The stream output is just fine - nothing wrong there. That is another reason I watch it on the side

I am not sure what I can do, if anything. A capture card isn't much of an option, as I cannot put my console near the PC due to lack of room for the time being (that being several years, or so I hope. Being a pet parent sometimes has downsides, but brings a lot of joy too ).

Do you have any tips, aside of reinstalling Remote Play, or rebooting it?

How’s your internet speed?
Have you restarted the PS5 & the modem/router?
Has anything changed on the PC recently - updates, new software etc?

 

1GB ethernet, fiber. Modem restarted 2 days ago. PS5 gets a regular full reboot as well (last night as well, when it was happening - hoped it would fix it)

Nothing changed recently. Ever since day one, there has been the occasional hiccup with Remote Play, but not as bad as recently.

 

Are you running any third party antivirus software &/or VPN on the PC?

 

No VPN, and I always have antivirus. However, it has never been an issue. It only started being a real trashcan recently.

 

An update to the AV may have caused the problem. It may have added a vpn or improved internet protection. Have you added the PS’s IP address to the allow list?

 

It should be allowed, I can do everything with is. I'll have a look-see, see if I can find anything.

When I don't use Remote Play it runs without problems - but it has a downside for me as I can't see properly when it is on the TV (the targets get toooo tiny lol)

 

Can't edit, but here is something else that can be of help trying to figure out what is happening:
It has the most issues when I am using Remote Play and I stream (from the pc) at the same time.

I looked if I could find IP settings in my antivirus, but no such luck.

 

It’s strange. That sounds like a bandwidth problem where one device is hogging the speed.
I know sometimes you may need to add the PlayStation’s IP/mac address to the allowed list of the router.

 

That was I noticed today:
Earlier I was playing with ARK with my friend, nothing wrong, it ran smooth as the ice of a freshly Zamboni'd ice rink. She asked if I could stream, too, so we both could entertain our friends together - and the brown stuff hit the fan instantly as soon as I went live.
Stream quality remains great, for me.. it turn into potato mash, without gravy :S

They're both connected on the same 1GB fiber optic network, no WiFi (I switched that off on the PS).
I don't know how to change settings to allow it more bandwith or what ever I can change.

 

If you turn the PS Wi-Fi on does anything improve?
I don’t think users can increase the bandwidth. On the pc you can try this:
Start>Device Manager>right click on Ethernet or Wi-Fi & click Properties>Advanced Tab>Speed & Duplex>under Value select 1Gbps Full Duplex.
