Please advise on file (SAS.CTXMN64.DLL)

Hi folks,

i can't seem to get rid of this file and i tried everything , i don't even have Super Anti Spyware on my computer.

Hey ccn, that file belongs to Superantispyware Context Menu Extension. You usually can find it in C:\Program Files\Superantispyware\' folder. At one time SAS was installed on your machine. Make sure it is fully uninstalled, then use this- http://www.voidtools.com/ to remove leftover files. Also after you do that, I would check my Program Files just to be sure SAS is completely gone.

 

@ Nick T, I'm little confused.:confused

Using the "Everything" search tool, I can't find the file "SAS.CTXMN64.DLL" on any of my computers with SUPERAntiSpyware installed. And the "Scan with SUPERAntiSpyware" option shows up in the context menu.

The only product I've found that "SAS.CTXMN64.DLL" might be related to is "SAS for Small & Midsize Business"

Did your anti-virus or MalwareBytes Anti-Malware turn up anything when you scanned the file? Does the properties window for the "SAS.CTXMN64.DLL" file give any further info? What is the location of the file?

Ahh! An old version then? I should have thought of that before touching the keyboard. That'll learn me.
