Please help, crazy laptop drivers.

This is a new one on me. This is on an IBM Thinkpad 1875DMU laptop. I cannot get the dang network drivers installed. I have downloaded the drivers from Lernovo's website, tried to install them and get the error message I will attach. (The other error message is humorous to me). I tried the instructions on the site, and no luck. Here are the instructions:

1. Start Windows XP.
2. Click Start and Control Panel.
3. Click System.
4. Click the Hardware tab.
5. Click the Device Manager button.
6. Right-click Ethernet Controller in Other devices and click Properties.
7. Click Reinstall Driver.
8. Select No, not this time and click Next.
9. Select Install from a list or specific location.
10. Click the Next button in the Hardware Upgrade Wizard dialog box.
11. Select Search for the best driver in these locations and Include this location in the search: only.
12. Click Browse.
13. Locate the driver and click OK.
14. Click Next. The driver installation starts.
15. Click Finish.
16. Click Close.

When I try this, It cannot find the drivers on the CD or the hard drive. I am lost here. Any Ideas?

Thanks Halo, that worked. Odd way of installing drivers! Sometimes it helps to read the dang messages, instead of doing what you think will work.
