I have some major problems with my PC I have run ad aware, the panda program, error gaurd (unregistered), and all kinds of different programs and i cant remove some of them. Panda says i have Tojan/downloader.gk in docs&settings/steventucker/local settings/temp/thi52a1.tmp/twaintec.cab[polall1m.exe]
    and
    thi79db.tmp/twaintec.cab[polall1m.exe]
    and
    thi6f35.tmp/twaintec.cab[polall1m.exe]
    as well as various spywares
i am running a pc windows xp, ummmm a small c hard drive 6 gig
and a f drive with 120gig, i have a 1gig process i think and i am not sure about the ram. it is mostly for surfing altho my roomie is a porn lover so he has some downloads(probably where the problems arose) the computer still works allright but is boggin down and i have subtle problems here and there. sometimes my photoshop cs will pop up for no reason, as well as pop ups. and my internet is slower than it used to be. error gaurd gave me 387 errors but its unregisterd so it wont fix. i am running a cable modem. if you need more i have dedicated my time tonight to fixing this so i will check regularly. i know basics and a lil more but by no means an expert i do know how to open in safe mode and stuff but will need some good direction. so please please please help and if u need any auto paint help i will be more than happy to return some favors

    Hi Lakeratokc,

It is always a good idea to start with the Cleanup Tutorial HERE:
READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan and Virus Removal

Please note the steps that you are able to complete and the ones that give you problems. Note that you need to be in Safe Mode with System Restore OFF and have the Viewing of Hidden Files ENABLED as per the instructions in the link. Make sure to do the Online Scans.

Also, how many user accounts do you have on your machine?

Post back and let us know how you fared with the tutorial.

    Best luck :)
    PP

download spy-bot and use the advanced mode that will give you access to your startup menu remove the checkmarks of the offending articals ( if you click the lil slide bar it tells you what most of the entrys are) reboot and if it runs better then reopen spybot go to the startmenu section then deleat (or purge ) the offending entrys
