Please Help- Maxtor One Touch 4 won't work.

It works fine on every computer I have plugged it into... except mine.:cry
My computer will not see the drive, even though it has no problem seeing other USB drives I have. I'm goin' bugnutz. What am I doing wrong?:confused TIA

do you get the sound when you plug it into the usb? while it's plugged in, are there any devices in the device manager that have a ? or ! next to them?

 

When plugged in, I get an infinitely repeating beep. When I plugged it into my computer at work, I got 1-2 beeps and then it was recognized. Device Manager has ! next to Ethernet Controller and Multimedia Audio Controller. Thanks
