    Hi,
I am putting together a Desktop for watching stock market charts.

    I will be connecting 12 Monitors ( Dell U2412M x 24 inch, 1920x1200 ) to this desktop.

Mostly I will be using 2 stock applications & couple of Word Docs & some webpages simultaneously.

OS will be Windows -7 ( Ultimate )

I will be using three ATI FirePro 2460 Graphics cards. ( I did a lot of research & chose these Low Profile cards ) AMD has specifically designed these cards for stock market applications & are used by many professionals.

I am not sure but Intel i7 2600 3.4 GHz processor should be enough ?
I am thinking about 8 GB GB DDR3 RAM
    I need one DVD-RW
I guess Onboard Sound would be good enough.

Although I don’t have a budget restriction & want to
build the best system, I am limited to the parts available where I am located. So you guys need to pick the parts from the following 2 websites. I am importing graphics cards since they are not available here.

    Thank You all.

Wow, expensive vid cards for what they do but then it's a low demand item. I don't know if you got the PCI or the PCI-E version but of course the motherboard that you get will have to have three slots of either flavour. Onboard sound these days is perfectly fine. I'm trying to find out how much power these vid cards take but I don't believe it's high. Let us know what flavour they are so that we can then suggest a mobo and power supply. The 2600K should be enough with 8 virtual cores, it probably won't even break a sweat as it's just data and not video.

12 monitors? It sounds like the back wall of the video department in Best Buy! :-D

If you don't want to run everything off on-board video cards (are are using monitors with a native HDMI input), check this out:

    http://www.amazon.com/Plugable-USB-...x1200-DisplayLink/dp/B004D0QC0A/ref=pd_cp_e_1

According to the posted specs, you can run up to six of these on one PC to create spanning displays (not sure if the spanning will combine with the internal video to create an array of 12 monitors forming one screen - this would be a research project).

If you can chain 6 of the 12 monitors up using these, you could avoid the need for a PSU the size of a small nuclear power plant. :)

I already have bought those three ATI FirePro 2460 Cards & they are PCIe X16.

They are outrageously expensive but does the job from its reviews & use only 20 W max power & are low profile. Some pluses.

The next task is finding the right motherboard with three PCIe x16 Cards.

Trying to put pieces together one by one.

Did make a separate post for it.
