Please help me im not smart enough to know

    :rolleyes: Hello everyone i am new to this site. Thank you to all that help me in advance. ok heres my question first off i have an asrock board and it will not let me change my bus speed to anything higher then 133 when i go into my bios which is am bois or something or other it says its locked heres my board details



    Board: P4I45Gx_PE, 1.00
    Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
    BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. P3.00 06/01/2004


    Please help me please i am running 512 ram with a 2.40 ghz intel celron d proccessor if u have any suggestions im open even if it means upgrading but i really dont have the money to do that

    p.s. asrocks site sucks for help and so does that lil manual they give to u my processor is the 320intel celeron d w/ 533 fsb and a 256 kb L2 cache w/e that means it says on my asrock board that it is fsb 533 and somethng about 333ddr and it says that its a P4i45GV PLEASE HELP ASAP
    PPS does my system suck?

    Your PC sounds fine, why is it that you wish to change the FSB?

    FSB 533mhz is the 133x4 you see in the Bios... P4s are whats called Quad Pumped so 133x4 = 533

    The 333ddr is the speed of your memory


    I have not had much to do with Asrock mobos but reading a bit they have a Hybrid Booster application to help you adjust some of the settings http://www.asrock.com/product/product_p4i45gv_r3.htm# you should find it on the drivers disk that came with the PC or mobo

    my bois sucks i have learned this it doesnt show me anything about the 133x4 within it im thinking of just geting a asus board cause i cant find where and how to change it
