please help me with hardver

    when I start my laptop (fujitsu siemens,amilo li 2727) on a vista 32 recive a mesige it write problem with a ntv.dm and a comand.com anybody know a solution

    Is it ntvdm rather than ntv.dm?

    Hi ZS,

    Did you reformat the drive? A problem with command.com usually means that the boot files are missing from the drive. If you formatted without SYSTEM FILES that could be your problem. Not really sure about Vista.

    I wanted to be sure I was giving you instructions that work; that's why I asked about the particular message.
    Are you trying to run DOS or 16 bits programs on your computer?

    This might work:
    Create a shortcut to the exe, right click the shortcut and select properties, compatability, and check/tick "Run this program as a
    administrator" in the Privileges Level box.
