You can start by listing the 70 processes running. That is way too many things working.
If you have CCleaner installed, under Tools you have a startup button. You can grab a screenshot of about 15 items and paste it in as an attachment. Don't list all 70 because it is too many to look at. It's better to do it in smaller chunks because people will be more inclined to help with a smaller listing.
What OS are you running and how much memory is in your computer?

ve ccleaner and have stopped a few things starting up but im not sure about the rest, my memory(ram) is 1.00GB and i have a 32-bit OS.
My process have gone down to 63 but i am assuming that is from stopping a few things at startup.

ve done a screen shot frm ccleaner on startup items and 3 screen shots of the processes on the task manager.

How long have you had Super anti spyware and avast running together for?

also how old is the computer, when was the last time someone checked the Hardware?

And you're obviously running Vista? You might benefit from having an extra 1GB of ram then ... Vista takes almost 1GB just idling.

my laptop is just over a year old i dont think the hardware has been checked, i have sent it back because the battery wouldnt work and i had lines down the screen but dont not know if it would of been checked then.
SuperAntiSpyware has been on the comp a few days because i did the read and run me guide as i thought i had a virus.
    and yes it is vista

Well as I said you will benefit from an extra 1 GB of RAM ... also it might pay to disable SUPERanti spyware ... some malware programs clash with one another and slow a computer down unbelievably.

Def reply to Tim first nikki just to make sure your clean, but as far as the RAM goes, if you've got a friend who know a bit about HW he could probably do it for you, otherwise take it to a shop.

From the first list, you do not need to be running Java Update Scheduler. It will constantly check for updates; this is a waste of resources.
I'm not sure what ehome is. I'm looking at that.

Groove Monitor, part of Office 2007 does not need to be running at startup.

The other three screens are not as helpful; to me. You have 12 to 14 svhosts running but I have no way of knowing what they are associated with. You also have two instances of task scheduler running but I have no idea what tasks they are for.

I see you run Spybot. I hope you do not have TeaTimer running. If so, turn it off.

i am not sure how to stop things at startup properly ive tried to stop msn starting up but that will not work.
i finished sending in the rest of my scans like drizzles said on my other post and there wasnt anything.
should i take screen shots of anything else? such as the services part?
Also TimW said having superantispyware is good to havebut wont it stop avast from working?
i also do not have a clue abou tea timer as ive had sypbot a while and dont really use it.
    thanks

Fire up CCleaner, click on Tools in the left screen, then startup. Highlight an item in the list and then clcik disable at the bottom.

I would be inclined to uninstall spybot as that is a hungry beast and windows defender can be stopped ( you can use it any time incidentally) by accessing it in Control Panel. Contrary what Drizzles says I am running Vista with 5 inboard HD's, 1 USB HD and I have many Internet pages running plus radio etc. and am just using 720 MB of physical memory. I have 1 and a half Gig of Crucial installed but have yet to reach anywhere near 1 Gig usage. ;)
