Please help me....

I have a Micron Transport XPE and it is only a small 2MB hard drive but it does what i wanted to. Well at first that is. I got it off ebay and it was fine till one day, I was downloading 98 on my laptop and it was on my lap. My sister was messing with me and made me stand up and it tilted the laptop and messed up my cd drive. I fixed it so that isn't my problem. But I must have lost drivers because when I installed 98 after I fixed the CD drive, I lost my color options, my speakers don't work and it just isn't the same. I got a link from a trusty friend of mine with drivers on it so I could install them. When I tried to get on the internet with my laptop, I couldn't. I tried reinstalling my card and even my modem but that didn't work. When reinstalling the modem, it didn't find it. I think it might be because I went through a switch but I am not sure. This is my last resort for help before I take it to a computer repairman near by. I really don't wanna have to pay to get it fixed so I hope you can help. Thanks for listening.

 

Were you dling Win98 or were you installing this from a CD? Are you sure there are no Conflicts between hardware devices???

 

I was installing 98 when I tiped it and then the drive wouldn't open. I fixed that by taking the drive apart. I have no idea whether or not there is a conflict. I am just gonna have to take it to someone. Hopefully they can fix it at a good price and do a good job.Thanks.
