Please Help Me!

    my norton av2004 had been giving me some problems, so I uninstalled it through add/remove in the control panel and installed avg for now until i get norton 2005.

    the problem now is that every minute, i am getting a security alert from symantec telling me that my virus protection is turned off. Why am I seeing this now, I uninstalled norton. It is driving me and my family insane, we can't do any work on the computer with having this popup every minute.
