Please Help Me

I keep getting this error and others

I contacted the manufacturer (emachines) and they said a few differnt thing can fx it one said reset the ram and that didnt help the other said it is a malutious scripts error and i have to buy their antivirus and spyware software. and another said i have to use tyhe windows xp software disc that i never had to fix the problem

Its a windows xp home edition
I know some things about computers but im not a genius
When i get the error either the pc goes off, restarts, or blue screen pops up with white letters or it goes black but the pc is still on?
I didnt start getting this error until i added a new hd could this cause that problem?

please help me

all thje error says is that its a hradware failure
it says it could be

ram
cpu
power supply
system board
