please help my sound doesnt work

    just installed vista ultimate on my dell inspiron 9300 and now it says no audio output device installed what do i do:cry

    here is the driver page for your machine, though there is no drivers listed for Vista, the audio one for xp should be fine.

    on the base of your machine there should be a service tag number, this number is specifically designated to your machine, should you run into issues like this again use that tag # on Dells website and it will give you all the drivers/chipsets and software that was originally installed on that machine.

    To just minor expand on Iain's post above do install the Chipset driver first and reboot then install the Audio driver and reboot and test audio.
