Please help!!!!! Need sound driver

IM PUZZLED...I NEED HELP....I DID A FRESH INSTALL ON MY FRIENDS COMPUTER..DOWNLOADED ALL CORRECT DRIVERS FROM THE WEBSITE...ALL WORKED EXCEPT THE SOUND DRIVER...CHECKED WITH EVEREST..HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE...TRIED EVERY POSSIBLE DRIVER NOTHING..I REALLY NEED HELP!!!!THANKS

I assume you've tried the chipset and audio drivers from eMachines? What indications are showing in Device Manager?

 

i did try the sound driver from the emachines website but not the chipset driver....im really puzzled ..and there are no indications in device manager

 

Thanks caliban.....i tried the chipset driver and then the sound driver again and it worked ....im still puzzled as of how did that happen ...ive been working on computers for sometime now and that was a first for me =]

Sometimes, with onboard audio, the chipset drivers must be installed first - sort of a foundation for the audio data...
