Please help nVIDIA MCP67 - LAN Controller

Hello!!

I tried connecting via ethernet but was not able to, did not recognized the "device", I went to device manager and it says that the nvidia network controller needs to be updated, however when i try to update the driver it says that is up to date, i was not sure what was de version or the model so i ran the everest (think thats the name) and got the following model

nVIDIA MCP67 - LAN Controller
it's an HP laptop with vista 32 bit sp1

i tried looking for the drivers but no success, any help is highly appreciated. :cry

PS i saved the report from everest but it is in Spanish if any further info needed please let me know

Thx!! i tried; seemed to be going grest but at the end got the following error :S

this device cannot start (code 10)

Honestly i have no idea what is that error about.

I've heard of a faulty bios causing problems similiar to that, you could possibly flash your bios.

 

yep i think that ir can be the issuer however i was reading that it can also be the drivers of he motherboard since it seems that the ethernet is actually incorporated..... well right now i'm doing some updates will post if i get it fix :cool

I've tried to connect in safemode but no luck either.

I bought the PC to a friend kind off, he never used but didn't realized that he never ran an update so at the moment I'm running the updates almost done i think that it might solved but in any case here is the log and thank you so much for the help

 

Okey dokey the updates are installing still, it had a lot of updates to install, hopefully it will work, not quite sure in any case if it does not work I will do that, but i'll keep you post it.

Hello!!

sorry that i was not able to reply before but i messed my computer totally. It's official i hate Vista!!! I ran and install the updates, even though i knew it was going to mess the PC and now i can only start the PC in safe mode with network, I'm backing up my info and will be installing windows 7 if i continue to have the issue with the networkcard i'll post and also i will post if everything gets fixed.
