Please help on board video

    I installed a nvidia pci express card and it told me to disable my on board card so i looked in the bios didnt find anything so i disabled it from the intel controller in in control panel and from add remove. i installed my new card and nothing works i get a blank screen and i can hear windows load. i take my new card out same thing happens how can i get anyone of the video cards to work again. please help.

    You've got to disable the onboard video in the bios. Otherwise it's the only video you can use. The option to disable it should be in an advanced menu. It's usually farily easy to find. If you get really stuck and can't find it read the manual. It is in there somewheres, and until you turn it off you can't use a PCI-Express video card.

    As for getting windows to work again, you'd have to boot into safe mode and then reenable your video card. You should never disable your video card from device manager. If safe mode doesn't work then, the only way to fix it is to get the second video card installed properly, or reinstall the system.
