Please help. Updated Itunes and now it won't open...

Hi all. I've done a search on here, but can't find exactly my problem. I just updated Itunes as I found my old Nano and thought id use it. So when i went to open Itunes it prompted me to update it, which i did. It took ages to update and when it finished it said something like it didn't fully download and i'd have to download something separately.

Now it wont' open and i get this error when i click to open it:
The procedure entry point kCMByteStreamNotification_AvailableLengthChanged could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll.

And only the option to click OK, so i click OK and get this message:

Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes.
Error 7 (Windows error 127)

Any help would be great, thanks so much.

 

Just want to add to my post... I done a search on the internet and found a similar question about itunes not opening and on that site they advised to download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and 4. I did it and still nothing.

I have not used iTunes, on a Windows machine, but would advise on reinstalling from the steps outlined below. Please expand all the sections and follow the directions.
