Please help with a Laptop choice

Hello all. I'm currently pricing out laptops and I'm basically selecting between 2 of them:

The eMachines M6811 Athlon 64 Laptop

and

Toshiba Satellite P35-S6292 P4 3.2(HT) Laptop

I'm curious as to if anyone has had experience with the e-machines laptops (they're owned by gateway and i detest gateway anything) but it's a nice 64-bit solution. I've used toshiba stuff before and like it and it does have the better graphics solution on it too.... I'm going to bump the ram to at least 1 gig regardless, and the uses are some light gaming (emulation, maybe diablo 2 or something - nothing like doom 3 or what not) and DVD playback. essentially it'll be my portable schoolwork and entertainment center. I just need advice on what i should do. Thank You for any help!!!!!

 

Im pretty much a Toshiba fan so I will recommend that - I have a toshiba Tecra S2 with 512MB RAM, 6600GT PCIE card and an Pentium M 1.7 and it plays games great and I have had no problems with it whatsoever.

 

Have you looked at the HP laptops with the AMD Turion? I have AMD 3000, it eats the battery like mad, the Turion just about doubles the battery life.
