Please Help with "codecs"???

If anyone can help me - this might be really easy for you to answer. I am making a slideshow with Windows Movie Maker (using Vista) and would like to add audio files. I can add .mp3's but when I try to import music files that I purchased on iTunes, they are .m4p's. its giving me a error message saying i need codecs if I want to import one of these songs. Is there a way to change them to the right kind of file OR if i do download a codec, does that fix the problem, and what codec do I need??? thanks...

 

Apparently, WinAMP has a plug-in that will do this. Check these links:

There's also a program called Noteburner and one called NoteCable that should do it too:

Judging from the web sites, I'd say Noteburner and Notecable are the same program. And it isn't free.

It also isn't free.
And Tunebite will do it too, but it also is not free: http://tunebite.com/en/remove_drm/
So, for freeware, I think you'll have to use WinAMP and the plug in mentioned in the links above.
BTW- I haven't necessarily used any of these programs. I just found 'em by poking around the web.
