   My son plays Halo on an xbox system. I use my router filter to limit the crap that comes in. He wants me to change the NAT type from strict to open. Please, can anyone explain to me what that means and how it will affect security. Will there be any adverse results from making this change??

   It will affect security as you will open up your network to outsiders, but how unsafe is it, in Xbox terms not unsafe really, but PC terms kinda unsafe, the choice is yours on this.
