That should have been in the box along with the CD. You did buy it from an authorized reseller, of course?

Pardon me, rebar__ranger... but something seems a wee bit fishy here...

Star17's excellent suggestions should have worked in obtaining the XP Product Key. Since you claim that it didn't work; I have to ask this: Are you looking for ANY "usable" XP Home Product Key (like an illegitimate or illegally obtained Windows XP Home license and/or key) or the legitimate "Installed" XP Home product key?

If you are looking for your legitimate installed XP Key then the program called Belarc Advisor will definitely work. The program is a snap to install and run and can be downloaded right here from Major Geeks (in the "System Info" section on the MG Home Page)

Just download and install it and this program will provide a "profile" listing of the system specs of just about everything that is installed on your computer (including all installed software as well as hardware) Then simply scroll down to the "Software Licenses" section and your "Microsoft - Windows XP Home" License Number and Product Key is right there.

This method of using Belarc Advisor works without fail... If this DOES not work... then something is VERY wrong with your computer, no doubt about it! ;)

    Good Luck!
