Please Help

When I use any search engine, whether it is Yahoo or Google, it will not go to the link that I click on. I get redirected to a different website that is usually a different search engine. Then I have to click the back button to get back to the original website and click on the link again to get to the website I want get to. I tried deleting Internet Explorer and reinstalling it but that did nothing. What should I do?

Sounds like you have an infection on your hard drive, from what you have posted it seems similar to a virus I had before Christmas....

Mind you I'll leave it to the more experience users to advise further but maybe read the sticky post re viruses?

 

Indeed! Read the stickies in the malware forum. These advise you to run an up to date virus checker and Ad-Aware and/or SpyBot S&D. If you need any help with anything you find then post back.

 

I have updated AVG Antivirus, Ad-aware, Spybot, and Windows Defender. I have ran scans with all four programs and it still has not solved the problem. What else should I do?
