Please Help

    I am trying to install a game on my computer and before it even starts to install I get this message

    the installshield (ikernel.exe) could not be launched the stub received bad data


    If anyone knows what that means and how I can fix it please let me know.

    Is the game retail? Is the Cd Scratched? Did something scramble the data? Is anything like spyware/virus blocking it? Did you try quitting explorer.exe or ikernal.exe and tried to start the setup file that way?
