   Win 98: When I right click on a desktop folder, the hourglass starts going forever, and if I CTRL/Alt/Delete, Explorer is noted as not responding. I've tried running a registry mechanic and rebooting. Any help appreciated.

   Do a virus scan, and close anything that doesn't need to be running.
   
   If it gets really bad sometimes the only way to really fix it is to reinstall windows and start over fresh.
