Sounds like you might have screwed your BIOS up! If you have your motherboard manual, there should be a section on resetting the BIOS and the procedures to be used, jumpers involved, etc. You could also try removing the cmos battery, leave it out for a while to let the capacitors drain, and reinstall it. This should reset your BIOS to factory condition if it hasn't been ruined. :)

Hi m8 :) ,read the announcement at the top of the forum, also read the frequently asked questions on how to start a thread :),describe exactly what you have done so far in as much detail as possible,if your not sure exactly what you have done describe the part as best you can,for example do you mean you have reset the cmos jumper?Post all your specs in as much detail as possible.

have a second read over it,check for spelling mistakes, the clearer you can make your problem the faster we can get you using your new board ;)

OK sorry about all the spelling errors it was late and i was ticked that i could not get my new stuff working. I was running a p4 2.4 and I wanted to upgrade so i got a AMD 3500 64 bit and a MSI K8N Neo2 motherboard and a Gig of Corsair memory i used my existing two HD 120g SATA. Ok now that is out of the way, I put the everything in and started it up it worked and man did it fly through post i was already impressed. Than i kept getting this nforce 2 error when i didn't boot off a disk and when i tried to load windows it would get to the "setup is preparing to start windows" and it would not make it past that so with the first error and it freezing i decided to reset the cmos with the jumper. so i did that and it would freeze on the most screen. so than my friend tried to reset it and i think i might have started it with the jumper on the clear setting not the keep. now the computer starts but the power buttons don't work and the screen never comes off of sleep. i have tried different ram and vid card and PS so the only thing i can think of is MB or CPU I think its the MB i am just looking for some conformation so I'm not just putting pats at it. thanks for all your help

No apology needed :) It seems you have fried your motherboard :( starting it up with the cmos jumper in the clear position can and very quickly damage your bios, just to rule out any other part remove everything from the board and start up with just the vid card and memory and see if it posts,if not RMA it you will get a new board no problem, its just the wait :(

OK so i got my mobo back after a long wate, and i hooked it up and my cpu wont turn it on with everything unpluged (worked fine for my p4 system and its 520 watts) so I put a 350 watt in it turned on for a min than restarted itself and frozze than i restrted and it would jsut start up and beep. im just trying to decide if i should RMA the CPU also or get a new PSU?

your mobo book should tell what the "beep" was, i.e. how many beeps?
