Please Recommend Software

Hello everybody.

Can you please recommend cheap easy to use software to make flyers and business cards. Something as simple as the online versions. I want something for my desktop. I have trialed the likes of adobe illustrator and inkscape but they are too complicated. I would like something with editable templates either built in or downloadable. Thanks guys

Thanks. I am after desktop software. I have tried the online offerings but i like the idea of owning a piece of software.

 

Don't you have an office suite installed?

 

I do but the templates aren't as customizable as i want. unless i am missing something. If there are links to download customizable templates that will also be fantastic

Yeah i had a go with those but i struggled with changing the background images and adding my logo on the flyers. what i liked about the web versions was that there were fields to change logos and pictures. if only there was a desktop app that could do that out of the box

 

I have also battled trying to edit MS Office templates - diplomas & faxes.
Eventually I just made my own.

 

serif pageplus x9 seems to be a good option but its no longer supported and it takes a bit of getting used to. It has better templates that microsoft office i think

 

Serif software can be quite overwhelming at first. Unfortunately the free Starter Editions are no longer available.

It seems the free business card software programs (not many available) are very basic.

Thanks buddy. I will give them a spin and keep you posted. Yes the Serif software is a steep-ish learning curve to start with.

 

i had a relative ask me the same questions earlier this year.
the only real alternative that i could find, without paying an arm and a leg,
was some software from HP:

i have no idea what the software is like, but at least it is free.
from the description, it seems like HP wants you to create stuff, then have them print it up.

but at least it says that one can print things up at home.
